Three for Thursday: Fall Favorites

It’s really fall now! The furnace is on, I’ve stopped planning meals around our grill, and Dark Eyed Juncos are back in the yard. At this point in the year we find ourselves hungry for heartier, comfort-type foods. Here are three of our favorites. (Click on any picture for the recipe.)

Church Pasties

Church Pasties – Warm and filling, and they remind me of home!

Chicken Noodle Soup Casserole – Don’t wait until you have a cold to try this type of Chicken Soup!

Easy Crock Pot Roast

Easy Crock Pot Roast – True comfort food, and the kitchen smells yummy all day long!

Enjoy!

Many thanks to my photographer!

I love Dark Eyed Juncos. We haven’t seen them yet at our feeders. It’s pretty warm today, too, with the temperature hovering around 70 degrees. Not quite crock pot weather for us!

  2. Ours JUST returned this week. They’re our favorite winter bird!!
