Swallow Tales – Part 9

We’re expecting our baby barn swallows to hatch by the end of this week! We’ll be sure to keep you posted on any exciting developments.

Meanwhile, we’ve got some pictures from previous years’ nestings to round out this boring incubation time! Once the new little guys hatch we’ll have more to chat about!

We began this little “tour through previous years” in Swallow Tales – Part 8, in case you missed it. By the way I took all these pictures myself. It’s ok, you can admit it, I know you can tell when I take them myself! 🙂

As they begin to grow too big for the nest, this is how they sleep at night. At this stage we call them Huey, Dewey and Louie.

Getting bigger!

Bigger and braver!

“We’re ready to go!”

The whole family after fledging!

We’ll be back in a few days with another update. And by then we’ll be on hatch watch!
